Brett Vacek provides comprehensive psychotherapy, counseling, trauma therapy, and objective psychological testing services, including MMPI-3 (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-3) evaluations for public safety pre-employment clearances (police, corrections, first responders), clinical diagnostic evaluations, court-ordered forensic assessments, and fitness-for-duty clearances across Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
Brett is tri-state licensed in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, providing both in-person sessions in the Quad Cities and secure telehealth services across all three states.
As a U.S. Army veteran and current member of the Reserves, Brett earned his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Illinois University in 2015 and has served as an adjunct professor at Scott Community College and Black Hawk College.
In addition to standardized psychological testing and MMPI-3 pre-employment/diagnostic evaluations, Brett offers individual, couples, and family counseling. His evidence-based treatment approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CAADC), he specializes in addressing guilt, shame, behavioral health challenges, substance use disorders, and trauma recovery.
